Jerry E. Cooley, MD
Dr. Cooley is a board certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon who has been performing hair transplantation since 1994. He is director of the Carolina Dermatology Hair Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Cooley currently serves on the Board of Governor's of the ISHRS and is co-editor of the Hair Transplant Forum International journal. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, and also serves on their board.
He graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and completed his dermatology residency of the University of Maryland in Baltimore where he served as chief resident. He has performed research on hair follicle "cloning" and currently serves as a consultant to Intercytex Ltd, a British company pursuing this technology. He has published scientific articles in numerous medical journals including Dermatologic Surgery, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Clinics, and the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.
