Ursula Halsner, MD
Born in Munich, Germany in 1955, Dr. med. Ursula Halsner studied medicine at the University of Munich, with special concentration in internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and human genetics. In 1983 she began her training in hair restoration surgery with Dr. med. Manfred Lucas, the founder of the Meditra hair restoration clinic in Grafelfing near Munich. During this period she participated in the development of the mini-and micograft techniques for the treatment of extensive hair loss.
Today Dr. Halsner can look back on 21 years of experience in hair restoration surgery. Apart from the treatment of male baldness, Dr. Halsner had gained experience in hair transplants for women and in the treatment of scar-tissue alopecia.
Dr. Halsner had been head resident at Meditra since 1990 and in 2004 she established her own practice-clinic specialiced in hair restoration surgery in Munich, Germany. She is frequently invited to present papers at national and international conferences and is the author of numerous publications. Dr. Halsner is founding member of the Association of German Hair Restoration Surgeons and was the president of that organization from 1994 to 1998. She also is founding member of the European Society for Hair Restoration Surgery (1998)too. Dr. Halsner has been a member of the ISHRS since 1997 and is a member of the International Advisory Committee of the ISHRS.
