Andrew J. Kaufman, MD
Dr. Kaufman has been performing hair restoration surgery since 1988. He specializes in micro and minigraft or follicular unit transplantation to help create a natural appearing frontal hairline and hair pattern. Dr. Kaufman is an assistant clinical professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, and teaches residents and other physicians hair restoration surgery techniques in addition to reconstructive surgery and other forms of cosmetic surgery.
He trained in medical school at the University of California at Los Angeles and completed residencies in both internal medicine and dermatology. He is board-certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology. He was nominated and elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). Dr. Kaufman completed a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic surgery. He has been in private practice in Thousand Oaks, California since 1994. Dr. Kaufman relies on medical and surgical options for the individual treatment of hair loss.
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Consultations for hair restoration surgery are performed by Dr. Kaufman himself.
