Guillermo S. Blugerman, MD
Dr. Blugerman was born in Corrientes (Argentina) where he studied and received his medical degree as a Medical Surgeon in the National University of the Northeast in 1982. In this year, he was transferred to Buenos Aires where he specialized in Plastic Surgery as Chief Resident of the Ripetta Foundation.
Dr. Blugerman is an active participant and lecturer in scientific courses and congresses of Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, and Aesthetic Medicine, both nationally and internationally.
In recent years, he has dedicated himself to the study of hair. Dr. Blugerman has presented both conferences and workshops at the last four scientific meetings of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. In these conferences, Dr. Blugerman presented techniques and apparatuses of his invention. For this, he has received the distinguished title of "Surgeon of the Month" in the official publication, Hair Transplant Forum International in December 1996.
He has been invited to speak and lecture at conferences and to write articles and essays in the scientific meetings of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the World Association of Hair Restoration Surgery, and the European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
Dr. Blugerman is the President of SOLAPEL, the Latin American Society of Hair. He has more than 30 inventions or improvements in instruments for hair and plastic surgery. His inventions have been presented in surgical demonstrations in the U.S., Brazil, Mexico, Paraguay, Spain, and Germany. He is co-author of the New International Classification of Hair Transplants.
